The following remarks and thoughts about fly-fishing for pike initially appeared in various fishing magazines: Le Pêcheur de France (1997), Le Moucheur (1999), Flyfishing and Flytying Magazine (1999).

If at the time of their first publication, they ran counter to generally accepted -and wrong- ideas, it seems that they have contributed to bring about some change in the technique, and have been used again in many articles since. The 'Moustache' streamer has also inspired a number of clones.
